The only large city in Hawaii, Honolulu makes for a great base for your Oahu vacation. You'll find plenty of resorts and boutique hotels here, plus a variety of dining and entertainment options. 

Spending time at Waikiki Beach is one of the top things to do in Honolulu. A long strip of sand with several sections, Waikiki Beach offers a plethora of activities from swimming to parasailing. 

Fine dining enthusiasts will find lots of options in Honolulu. Book a table at La Mer, at the Halekulani Resort, for a romantic dinner, or try 53 by the Sea, with its breathtaking view and excellent food!

Pay your respects at the USS Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor. A short boat ride takes you to the memorial that floats on top of the sunken battleship. You can also visit other WWII historic sites in Pearl Harbor.

Snorkeling in Hanauma Bay should be at the top of your Oahu itinerary. The stunning bay features a rich and diverse marine sanctuary. You'll need reservations, though, so plan ahead.

If you enjoy shopping, there are many places to go in Honolulu. Shop for souvenirs in Chinatown, or browse brands on Kalakaua Avenue. And of course you have to visit an ABC Store when in Hawaii!

Love gardens? Foster Botanical Garden is located right in downtown Honolulu! The 13+ acre garden is a joy to wander, with a butterfly garden and an exceptional trees section.

Enjoy a hike through lush rainforest to beautiful Manoa Falls! The hike is family-friendly and easy to do from downtown Honolulu.
