Enjoying a spectacular Hawaiian sunset is one of the best things to do on a vacation in Oahu, whether you do it as you hike, or as you sip a mai tai on a terrace.

For a magnificent view over Waikiki, head to the Tantalus Lookout in the Puu Ualakaa State Park. It's a short (and scenic) drive up from Waikiki.

Waikiki Beach is another very popular sunset watching destination. It's a long beach, so it's worth taking the time to find a less crowded section.

Shark's Cove, on Oahu's North Shore, is magical at sunset, and less crowded than the Waikiki area. Watching the colors of the sky reflect in the water is mesmerizing.

Sunset Beach Park, also on the North Shore of Oahu, is another popular place to be at sunset. This is a great place for a romantic stroll on the sand!

On the west side of the island, the Ko Olina Lagoons are a great place to be at sunset. They are very popular for sunset photo shoots! The coastal path is a nice place from which to watch sunset as well.

Splurge on a sunset cruise and enjoy an Oahu sunset from the ocean! The cool breeze and the opportunity to see marine life make this a must-have sunset experience on the island.
